Like the last post, this one is from memories of various hikes along the rivers in North Georgia. The Chattahoochee, which originates in the mountains, runs through metro Atlanta.
I the higher elevations, it’s a rocky, mountain stream with big boulders and high rock banks in places. I the metro area and beyond, certain places form wetlands areas.
Eventually, she is renamed the Apalachicola River in Florida and flows to the Gulf of Mexico.

Don, I’m really enjoying these last few posts. Such beautiful country. Makes me want to move my waterway’s project a little south!!
